Birchfield Independent Girls’ School (BIGS) is open to girls aged 11 to 16. The school was established with the aim of providing young Muslim girls with the same standard of education parents would expect from a state school while at the same time preserving and emphasising the Islamic identity of the pupils. The overall ethos and the running of BIGS lie in the hands of the Board of Governors, and the Head Teacher.
